Julie of the Wolves By Jean Craighead George

Hi! This is Laureana here. I read This amazing book by Jean Criaghead George, it's called Julie of the Wolves. I'd give this book a 3 out of 4. I'd say this book is good for the grades 4th to 5th. I say this because it has intense parts that are a litle much for people under that grade. It has wonderful metaphors and similes. They paint the page. They have meenings to the book and there everywhere, But there not there so much it's too much or the other way around it's perfect. It's about a 13 year old girl, that lives on the Tundra. Her name is Miyax or Julie. See she has two names a secret eskimo name and a gussak name she shares with everyone. (Gussak is another name for an American. Her father, Kapugen, goes to somthing called seal camp. It's a place were people live the way the original eskimos did. This is when she is about three. (When her mom died.) Then when she is about eight and her Aunt Martha comes. She says Miyax must go to a gussak town for schooling. Her dad has to stay behind. She stays with Martha until thirteen. Then she goes to get married. About three months later her husband- well I'm not gonna tell you that. But hey that's just another reason to go get your copy now! Anyway whatever he did made Miyax walkout on him. She gathered supplies and was going to Pt. Hope. There she would sail across the sea to San Francisco where she would go to her pen pal Amy's house. After that she gets lost in the Tundra. There she meets nine wolves; Ameroq, Nails, Silver, the pups; Kapu, Sister, Zit, Zat, and Zane. And then------------------The adventure begins. I know what your thinking... WHAT HAPPENS NEXT??Go get your copy of Julie of the Wolves, By Jean Crairghead George. Thanks!
